The CD features 9 original compositions by Jim Repa inspired by the sights and sounds of various places around the globe, including the Caribbean, South Africa, Brazil, France, Spain, and the trails of New Hampshire. It also includes special arrangements of the Rodgers and Hart classic "With a Song in My Heart," Lionel Bart's "Where Is Love?" from the musical "Oliver" and singer/songwriter Mili Bermejo's "Como Hacemos."

Spanish for "The Lizards," "Los Lagartos" is a latinized version of a tune originally performed at the "Sept Lezards" jazz club in Paris..

Nyanga is a township near Cape Town. The tune was written following a 2008 trip to South Africa with Bob Sinicrope and John Baboian, and it tries to capture a little of the joy and enthusiasm of the young musicians we met there at a jazz workshop in a middle school.

"Como Hacemos" was written by singer, composer and teacher Mili Bermejo, and its title translates as "How We Are Doing." This is our instrumental arrangement of the tune, arranged for a Cinco de Majo performance by the "World Leaders" at Ryles Jazz Club in Cambridge, MA.

This standard from the musical "Oliver" is performed as a piano/sax duo. We think it is the first time anyone has played it in 11/8 time.
